In a surprising development during the federal proceedings involving Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, rapper Kid Cudi (Scott Mescudi) recounted an arson incident from 2012 that he suspects was orchestrated by Combs targeting his Porsche.
Cudi associated this event with his short-lived romance with Combs’ former partner, Cassie Ventura, implying that Combs reacted in a manner reminiscent of a “supervillain from Marvel comics.”
Cudi revealed that in January 2012, he was informed by his dog sitter that his vehicle had been engulfed in flames. When he arrived, he found evidence of a Molotov cocktail nearby, suggesting intentional arson.
He testified that he thought Combs “had a role in” the event, though this assertion was later removed from the official record.
The arson incident followed an alleged break-in at Cudi’s Los Angeles residence in December 2011, which he claims was executed by Combs upon discovering his relationship with Ventura.
Cudi noted that his Christmas presents had been unwrapped, and his dog was found confined in the bathroom, appearing quite upset.
During court proceedings, Cudi recounted a later meeting with Combs at Soho House, where he addressed the incidents directly.
He described Combs’ behavior as akin to that of a “Marvel supervillain,” with Combs staring blankly out a window, hands clasped behind him. Despite the underlying tension, Cudi indicated that the two eventually reconciled, although Combs allegedly denied any link to the arson.
This testimony adds to the growing number of accusations against Combs, who faces serious charges including sex trafficking and racketeering. He has pleaded not guilty to all allegations, asserting he is being wrongly accused.
The trial is set to proceed, with more testimonies anticipated to reveal the intricacies of the relationships involving Combs, Ventura, and other parties.
