Olivia Morphew, a 24-year-old police community support officer, has been accused of intentionally injuring herself to obtain financial compensation.
In June 2022, she reported being attacked and stabbed in Esher, Surrey.
She is scheduled to appear in court to answer charges including fraud and possessing a knife unlawfully.
It is claimed that Morphew inflicted the wound on herself and later filed a claim for compensation based on the supposed injuries.
The accusations stem from an investigation conducted by the Independent Office for Police Conduct.
A representative stated: ‘Our inquiry was initiated after a conduct referral made by the police in July 2022.
‘Following the conclusion of our investigation in April 2023, we presented the evidence to the Crown Prosecution Service, which approved the charges.’
