Tragic Death of Kristina Joksimovic
Kristina Joksimovic, a former finalist in the Miss Switzerland competition, was reportedly murdered by her husband in a horrific incident involving strangulation and dismemberment using a jigsaw, followed by disposal in a blender.
The police discovered the remains of the 38-year-old model in February in Binningen, close to Basel, Switzerland.
As per reports from Mail Online, her husband, identified as Thomas, aged 41, had his appeal for release from detention denied by the Federal Court in Lausanne after he confessed to the crime.
Recent findings in an investigation revealed significant signs of mental health issues related to the case.
Allegations indicate that Kristina, who was also a mother to two children, was killed following an incident where she confronted Thomas with a knife.
Sources suggest that their relationship had been troubled for several months, with prior police involvement due to allegations of domestic violence.
Investigators highlighted that Thomas exhibited notably aggressive behavior and displayed a lack of compassion and remorse after the murder. He attempted to conceal the crime, leading authorities to label him as having traits consistent with sadism and sociopathy.
Prosecutors allege that Thomas initially strangled Kristina before ultimately ending her life, according to local reports from BZ Basel.
Kristina was originally from Binningen and had Serbian heritage. She had transitioned from her modeling career to become a coach for aspiring catwalk models, guiding future candidates of Miss Switzerland.
