Nigerian Air Force Supports Edo State Elections
The Nigerian Air Force has begun transporting election materials in anticipation of the upcoming gubernatorial elections in Edo State, which are set for September 21.
A statement from Kabiru Ali, Deputy Director of Public Relations and Information for the Nigerian Air Force, announced this effort on Wednesday. It highlights a coordinated approach to ensure that essential materials are delivered securely and promptly for the elections.
Ali noted that the initiative reflects the partnership between the Nigerian Air Force and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Benin, Edo State.
He emphasized, “This airlift operation showcases the teamwork between NAF and INEC, focusing on logistics to ensure a smooth and peaceful election process in Edo State.”
Previously, the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, emphasized this commitment during a meeting with INEC Chairman, Professor Mahmood Yakubu, affirming the Air Force’s role in quickly moving electoral supplies.
