Abuja Secured: AIG Benneth Igweh Announces Strategic Deployment of Officers and Resources

The FCT Command has announced a comprehensive deployment featuring Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) teams, anti-riot tools, and enhanced visibility policing measures to ensure safety.

 

The Nigerian police are fully prepared for the upcoming #Endbadgovernance protests set to take place tomorrow.

 

According to AIG Benneth Igweh, the Assistant Inspector General of Police for Zone 7, the FCT command has mobilized appropriate resources, including EOD personnel and anti-riot equipment, to guarantee the safety of residents.

 

In an official statement by SP Josephine Adeh, it was emphasized, “This proactive initiative is to ensure that FCT residents have a seamless Independence Day celebration.”

“The resources deployed will consist of Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) teams, anti-riot amenities, and visibility policing efforts.”

“Traffic alterations will be put in place in locations anticipated to gather large crowds, such as the Central Area and Eagle Square.”

“While partaking in Independence Day festivities, it is advised that FCT residents stay alert and communicate any suspicious activities to the police through these emergency numbers: 08032003913, 08028940883, 08061581938, 07057337653, PCB: 09022222352, CRU: 08107314192.”
