Layi Wasabi, a well-known Nigerian creator, shared how his breakup with his girlfriend sparked his journey into content creation.
During an event, Layi, whose real name is Isaac Olayiwola, expressed how he initially made humorous videos for his friends, who enjoyed them.
After his girlfriend left him, he felt liberated and started posting his comedic videos online, which began to gain popularity.
He mentioned that following the success of his first few viral videos, his ex reached out to him.
He stated: “I used to create funny videos but kept them to myself, sharing them only with friends. When my relationship ended, I realized I had nothing to hold back, so I began posting content frequently. Eventually, my first three videos went viral, and then she contacted me.
“That was the turning point for me. It was something I loved doing, and I committed to it wholeheartedly.”
