Everton is set to target AC Milan’s Samuel Chukwueze in the upcoming January transfer window.
Manager Sean Dyche aims to enhance Everton’s offensive play, having seen positive contributions from summer addition Iliman Ndiaye alongside Dwight McNeil and Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
Given the ongoing challenges of the Premier League season and the risk of relegation in 2025, Dyche is seeking additional support in the forward positions.
According to Football Insider, Chukwueze is under consideration as he has limited playing time at AC Milan this season.
Overview of Samuel Chukwueze: Stats, Contract, and Transfer Worth
After a successful season with Villarreal, Chukwueze transferred to Milan in 2023. However, he has faced challenges in Italy, as new coach Paulo Fonseca prefers players like Christian Pulisic and Rafael Leao over him.
The Nigerian winger is contracted with AC Milan until 2028, with an estimated transfer fee of about £20 million ($26 million).
If Milan is hesitant to sell him mid-season, Everton might propose a loan deal through the end of the 2024/25 season in hopes of rejuvenating Chukwueze’s career.
During his last season in La Liga, he achieved notable stats, ranking third for successful dribbles (86) behind Vinicius Junior and Lee Kang-in.
He also claimed third place for the most successful carries into the penalty area (71), again trailing only Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo Goes.
