Abduction and Theft in Kaduna
In a troubling incident in Arikon village, Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State, four farmers were kidnapped by armed bandits who also looted their food supplies.
A local leader reported to Daily Trust on Wednesday that the attack took place on Tuesday at approximately 5:12 PM.
According to the leader, the bandits first captured two farmers from the nearby Impi village and then moved to Arikon, where they seized both a man and a woman returning from their fields.
During their assault, the bandits raided a storage facility and made off with a bag of local rice and yam tubers.
“The assailants arrived on motorcycles and raided the store in Impi village, taking a bag of rice and yam tubers,” he added.
This incident occurred shortly after military personnel had completed a patrol of the areas in question.
