On Friday, November 15, the Supreme Court rejected a case presented by several state attorneys general that questioned the legality of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Act.
This legal action called for the dissolution of the EFCC, as well as the Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit (NFIU) and the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).
Throughout the process, some states chose to withdraw their support while others requested to join as additional plaintiffs.
