William Gallas has expressed strong opinions about Kai Havertz’s role at Arsenal, indicating that Mikel Arteta should consider letting him go.
As a former player for both Chelsea and Arsenal, Gallas understands the challenges the Gunners face in their quest for a Premier League title. With their current season starting off slowly, he has urged Arteta to make significant changes as the January transfer window approaches.
“Kai Havertz has never been the right choice to lead Arsenal to the Premier League title,” Gallas stated during an interview with Genting Casino.
“Although Havertz is a decent player, he doesn’t meet the standards of a top-tier talent. I believe Arsenal should find a replacement for him at striker.”
Gallas has a specific player in mind to fill Havertz’s position.
“I don’t understand why Victor Osimhen is with Galatasaray,” Gallas continued. “He needs to be competing in the Premier League, where he could excel at Arsenal.”
“Football can be perplexing; he performed admirably at Napoli but then moved to Galatasaray, a strong club, yet he should be playing at a more elite level.”
“Arsenal urgently requires a striker like Osimhen. It’s clear they need to act. They must bolster their forward line.
“A robust squad is essential for competition; that’s how teams like Man City and Liverpool maintain high standards.”
“If the same players start every match, performance will inevitably decline.”
“Man City boasts international caliber players, including those on the bench. That’s the level Arsenal needs to aim for.”
Currently, Arsenal sits in fourth place, trailing league leaders Liverpool by nine points and just one point behind a struggling Manchester City team.
