Oluyede Officially Assumes Role as Chief of Army Staff

Olufemi Oluyede Appointed New Chief of Army Staff

On November 28, the House of Representatives officially appointed Lt-Gen. Olufemi Oluyede as the new Chief of Army Staff. This decision came after his evaluation by the Joint Committees on Defence and Army the previous day.

During the session, committee Chairman Babajimi Benson presented the findings and recommended the approval of Oluyede’s appointment, which was subsequently accepted by the Deputy Speaker, Benjamin Kalu, during the plenary session.
