Arrest Made in Abia Community Following Electric Cable Vandalism Incident

A suspected leader of a cable theft ring, known as Samuel from Ebonyi State, was captured by the local Community Policing Vigilante in Abia State, while two accomplices managed to flee in their tricycle.

The arrest took place along the Isi Court-Ikputu road in the Isiala Ngwa region, where the suspect was found damaging electrical installations.

Samuel, who leads the group, was caught by the vigilant local police while the other two criminals escaped in their vehicle.

K.C. Martins, the area’s Community Policing Vigilante Commander, announced the capture and stated that efforts are underway to locate the remaining two thieves, praising Governor Alex Otti for his commitment to safeguarding the citizenry.

Daniel Iheadindu, another Commander within the Abia State Community Policing Vigilante, affirmed the arrest and urged his team to continue their work to eliminate criminal activities in the region, encouraging young individuals to steer clear of crime and pursue lawful activities.
