Self Love Set Me Free!
I am not new to The Secret and the website. I always turn here in times when I feel sad, to uplift my spirit and remind myself that miracles happen to people every day if I follow the principles of The Secret. Two years ago I wrote my story and I noticed a year later that my story was published. When I read my own story, I noticed that almost all the things I wrote down on my wishlist had been fulfilled in the meantime. All except for truly loving myself and being a confident women.
One of these fulfilled wishes was ‘Being in a relationship with a guy from work who adores me and is faithful to me.’ It was funny because I ended up with a guy from work but not the one I meant in my list. I was not specific with the name, so the Universe probably delivered me a better match. The guy from work had been my friend since I started working at the company. After 2 years he confessed he was in love with me. At first, I was hesitant because I was single for years due to a painful experience with a past relationship in which I was betrayed and left me with big scars.
Then we went together on a trip for a week and I suddenly felt more for him than just friends. So we met up a few times and finally kissed. As he also had a few issues to solve for himself, we decided to take it slowly and hoped we would solve our issues during our relationship. I could help him with his issues, and he promised to show me that men can me trusted and loving. This seemed to work at first.
However, as the relationship progressed, I began to feel more and more insecure and very afraid of him leaving me and doing things behind my back. I began to express my fears and he tried to reassure me many times that he had no intention at all to cheat on me. Then one day we went to the city and I started crying on the way back in the car because I felt not worthy of his love. When we got home, he told me he wanted to split up. He told me that he felt it as an obligation lately to meet up. I did not hear anything from him after he left my home that day.
The strong sadness I felt inspired me to never let this happen to me again. I wanted to get to the root of my problems and seek professional help. In the meantime, I applied the principles of The Secret. I decided to carefully observe my thoughts and re-direct them to;
– I am a confident women, I love myself unconditionally.
– I am worthy to be loved and I love unconditionally.
– I attract an everlasting relationship with a loyal, supportive, good-hearted, tall, funny men who will become the father of my children.
– My husband will always speak fondly of me and is proud that I am his wife.
I did not specifically mention the name of my ex because I wanted the Universe to deliver my true love.
My point of attraction started to switch. The mother of my ex contacted me and asked me if we could talk. I agreed and she told me her son was miserable since the split. He had said that he did it for my own good because he saw that I was so unhappy. He was also in therapy to solve his issues.
It has been a long journey since, but we got back together and we both worked out our issues. I am so grateful that I found such a loving, caring man but even more happy I am that I finally learned to love myself. Selflove was my key to happiness and being free from all the fears I experienced for years.
