Taylor Swift is in the running for 10 awards at the 2024 MTV VMAs taking place on September 6 in New York. However, questions arise about whether she will be performing on stage with fellow artists Sabrina Carpenter and Shawn Mendes.

At 34 years old, Swift has been on her Eras Tour since 2023, recently wrapping up the Europe/Asia segment at Wembley Stadium in London. She now has over a month to rest before her performances resume.

Although there’s time between her London concert and the VMAs in Miami, Swift has chosen not to perform, opting instead to rest her voice. Nonetheless, the line-up for the awards show is impressive.

Major artists like Carpenter, Mendes, Megan Thee Stallion, and Rauw Alejandro will be joining the night’s festivities, which also include performances by Camilla Cabello, Lenny Kravitz, Chappell Roan, KAROL G, Anitta, Benson Boone, Halsey, GloRilla, Jessie Murph, LE SSERAFIM, LISA, LL COOL J, and Teddy Swims.

The event will take place at the UBS Arena, just outside New York City, on Wednesday, September 11. Proceeds from the event will benefit charities supporting those affected by the 9/11 attacks.

The broadcast will air live on multiple channels, including MTV, BET, and Nickelodeon, starting at 20:00 ET/17:00 PT. Additionally, MTV will partner with TelevisaUnivision for post-show highlights at 23:30 ET/20:30 PT on UNIMAS.
