The NFL has revealed that renowned rapper Kendrick Lamar will headline the Apple Music Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show, scheduled for February 9, 2025, at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.

Lamar shared the news on his social media on Sunday, expressing his enthusiasm for the upcoming show.

“Rap music remains the most influential genre ever, and I’ll be there to remind everyone why,” stated Lamar, adding, “They got the right one.”
This marks Lamar’s second performance at the Super Bowl halftime, following his collaboration in 2022 with Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, and Mary J. Blige during Super Bowl LVI.
The creative vision for this show will be handled by Lamar’s pgLang company, recognized for its contributions to his “Big Steppers” tour.

Lamar has garnered 17 Grammy Awards and a Pulitzer Prize for his album DAMN., solidifying his status as a leading figure in modern music.
His recent collaboration with Future and Metro Boomin, titled “Like That,” dominated the Billboard Hot 100 for three weeks this year, while “Not Like Us” also reached the top spot for two weeks over the summer.
This year, Lamar also generated buzz due to a feud with Drake, which was a hot topic in the music industry.
The rivalry produced a number-one hit for Lamar, who cleverly alluded to it in his announcement video, stating, “There’s only one chance to win a championship. No second rounds.”
