The movie RIP follows Miami police officers who unexpectedly find a large amount of cash, triggering a series of conflicts and betrayals. With a gripping narrative created and directed by Joe Carnahan, 55, the film looks to explore themes of loyalty and avarice in a gritty setting.
Affleck and Damon are co-producing the film under their joint company, Artists Equity, which they established in 2022. Their partnership has yielded several successful projects, such as the biographical film Air, about the genesis of the Air Jordan brand, and Small Things Like These, which premiered in Berlin.
Artists Equity is also branching into documentaries, releasing Kiss the Future in 2023 along with an Amazon MGM Studios project revolving around Affleck’s recent divorce from Jennifer Lopez. Upcoming projects for the company include the action sequel The Accountant 2 and the thriller The Instigators.
