Britney Spears‘ intermittent partner, Paul Soliz, is embroiled in a legal struggle with his estranged spouse, Nicole Mancilla. Court filings acquired by In Touch reveal that Nicole has struggled to find Paul to deliver divorce papers, attempting to send a process server to Britney’s residence in Thousand Oaks twice. Each time, the security personnel reportedly denied that Paul resides there and barred entry.
Nicole initiated divorce proceedings in October due to “irreconcilable differences,” having been wed to Paul for eight years, with their separation dated as June 29, 2023. She is pursuing both legal and physical custody of their four children, while proposing that Paul retain visitation rights.
Furthermore, Nicole is seeking monthly spousal support while also requesting the court to revoke any entitlement Paul might have to receive financial support from her. In her filing, she mentioned needing additional time to prove he was served and suggested possibly advertising in a newspaper as an alternative method of service.
Paul Soliz, who is reportedly a father of nine from various relationships, was enlisted by Britney’s team in 2022 for a housekeeping role at her California property. Nicole has openly criticized Paul’s actions, especially regarding his perceived neglect towards their children. She recently stated to the Daily Mail, “My husband fell for Britney Spears. He was married and now he is neglecting his children.“
Legal action during a time of uncertainty
The association between Britney and Paul has reportedly raised concerns among her close friends. Sources relayed to TMZ in August that those near the pop icon were anxious about her reviving the romance, questioning whether it aligns with her best interests.
Regardless of these worries, Britney has not been seen with Paul for several months. Earlier this year, they were in the spotlight due to a reported incident at the Chateau Marmont that prompted an ambulance call, though it was ultimately unnecessary.
In spite of these challenges, Britney is concentrating on reconnecting with her family. She has recently reunited with her sons, Jayden and Sean Preston, after a period of estrangement. The two young men, now 18 and 19, had moved to Hawaii with their father, Kevin Federline, last year. Britney shared moments from their reunion on social media, portraying a bright spot amid her ongoing personal challenges.
