“She is my rock.”
Alec Baldwin was recently photographed in character on the set of the Western film, “Rust”, being taken to the gallows to be hung. In pictures obtained by Page Six, the actor stood on set with a large blood stain on his shirt before he was carried by two men to meet his fate. A noose could be seen getting placed around Baldwin’s neck, but it’s unclear whether the actual hanging will be shown in the Joel Souza-directed film.
This comes a week after the criminal charges filed against Baldwin for the fatal 2021 shooting of Halyna Hutchins were dropped. The actor was charged with fatally shooting Hutchins, a cinematographer on “Rust”, when his prop gun discharged a live round, hitting her in the chest. She was 42. Souza was also wounded in the shooting, however, he survived and charges were not filed regarding his injuries.
In a statement on April 20, prosecutors Jason Lewis and Kari Morrissey said they could not “proceed under the current time constraints and on the facts and evidence turned over by law enforcement in its existing form.” They added that charges could be refiled against Baldwin. The decision to drop the charges against the father of seven came after his legal team introduced new evidence indicating that the gun used in the shooting had been modified.
Baldwin maintained his innocence throughout the course of the investigation, denying ever pulling the gun’s trigger and pleading not guilty to the accidental killing in February. After Baldwin was cleared of the charges, he thanked his fans in Montana for their support as filming resumed for the movie. He also gave a shout-out to his wife, Hilaria Baldwin, for being by his side throughout the entire ordeal.
