Margot Robbie is truly a Barbie girl living in a Barbie world.
As the Oscar nominee travels the globe to promote her much-anticipated movie based on Mattel’s doll, she’s been paying homage to the petite plastic icon with her (primarily pink) wardrobe.
To be sure, the Australian actress has always been a dead ringer for the doll — but her latest looks take the Barbiecore trend a leap further, with Robbie and her stylist, Andrew Mukamal, even commissioning custom designer outfits based on ones made famous by the fashionable figurine.
Below, see all the Barbie-inspired outfits Robbie’s worn during the movie’s press tour thus far — along with their tiny toy counterparts.
Time to shine
For a party hosted by Vogue Australia at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney on June 30, Robbie slipped into a vintage Versace mini made from slinky metal mesh.
The look debuted on the fashion house’s fall 1994 runway, and was previously worn by another famous blonde: Claudia Schiffer.
Pretty preppy
Earlier that day, the star attended a fan event at Westfield Sydney wearing another vintage Versace look, this time a cropped turtleneck sweater and metallic miniskirt from the same collection.
The set was styled with playful purple socks and white high-heeled Versace loafers, adding to the Barbie vibes.
Black and white and red all over
At a promo event at Bondi Icebergs in Sydney on June 29, Robbie looked like a living doll in a bespoke Hervé Léger body-con dress modeled after the strapless black-and-white swimsuit worn by the first-ever Barbie in 1959.
Even the actress’ white cat-eye sunglasses from Jacques Marie Mage, her hoop earrings by Spinelli Kilcollin and her glossy red lip perfectly matched the original toy’s.
Jet set
Robbie touched down at the airport in Sydney on June 27 looking just like her character in Chanel; even her Steamline Luggage carry-on and hatbox seemed Barbie-inspired.
Going dotty
Robbie looked pretty in pink polka dots while posing at a Los Angeles photocall on June 25.
The actress’ Valentino minidress directly referenced a strikingly similar spotted style worn by the Mattel toy — and she even styled it with a bright yellow quilted bag and beaded bracelet to hammer the point home.

Drive me crazy
It’s not Barbie without the glam convertible! On June 24, Robbie posed for pics in a pink pleated skirt and bra top that perfectly matched her Bottega Veneta tote, Manolo Blahnik heels — and her car, of course.
