A 45-year-old man has been taken into custody for allegedly participating in a gruesome crime involving a human head and dismembered body parts.
The Ogun State Police Command reported the arrest of Taiwo Yemitan, who was found with a human head and the dismembered remains of a young woman named Darasimi.
Yemitan reportedly invited Darasimi to his home in the Lafenwa neighborhood of Abeokuta, where he allegedly committed the crime early Sunday morning.
According to police spokesperson Omolola Odutola, local security groups, including Agbekoya and Vigilante operatives, provided crucial information that led to his arrest.
Further investigation revealed that Yemitan admitted to killing Darasimi and implicated two other suspects, Kehinde Yemitan and Kazeem, who remain at large.
