BUZZ: Amanda Seyfried admits she was ‘insecure’ about her work in ‘The Crowded Room’

Amanda Seyfried confessed to some rookie jitters at the beginning of filming the intense upcoming series “The Crowded Room.”

Those fears were allayed by her husband, Thomas Sadoski, who co-stars in the show.

“It was actually really nice [having Sadoski on set],” the actress, 37, told Page Six exclusively at the premiere. “Because it was in the beginning when I was a little insecure.

“I felt like it was always nice to check in with him and see if I was doing a good job,” she added. “And that was really nice.”

The co-stars married in 2017 and share a daughter and son together.

Luckily, Sadoski felt the same way.

“I wasn’t with her every single day on set,” he told Page Six. “So for me, it was fun to show up, and for her, I think it was like a breath of fresh air to have someone away from the really heavy serious stuff she was doing with Tom [Holland] so I think it worked out really well for both of us.”

Seyfried also joked that “wine” helped her deal with filming such a dark and intense thriller. Although, she noted her role “was a piece of cake” compared to what Holland “had to go through.”

The series is a dark psychological thriller that takes place in Manhattan in the summer of ’79, in which a young man (Holland) is arrested for a terrible crime, while the investigator must solve the mystery behind it before the true culprit strikes again.

The “Mean Girls” alum acknowledged it’s a little weird doing publicity for the series at exactly the same time that Elizabeth Holmes — who she played in the Hulu series “The Dropout” — is going to jail for 11 years.

Holmes was convicted of conspiracyto commit fraud on investors of her failed company, Theranos, plus three counts of committing fraud on individual investors. The crimes involved wire transfers totaling more than $140 million.

“I definitely like broke away from that,” she shared. “At the end of the day, it’s bizarre but it’s real life and I have nothing to do with her.”

Though Seyfried did note that, “At the same time, I cared about her so much in order to portray her in this light and I had a lot of compassion because that’s my job as an actor.

“And I did it and it was a very good experience and then real life happens and the sky comes falling down on you and I’ve got to separate from it and I feel bad.”

Other celebs at the starry premiere included Holland, Emmy Rossum, Levon Hawke and Will Chase.

“The Crowded Room” premieres June 9 on Apple TV+.
