Fuel marketers in Nigeria have confirmed a price drop for Premium Motor Spirit (PMS).
This announcement was made by Abubakar Maigandi in a conversation with DAILY POST on Wednesday.
He indicated that members in Northern Nigeria, including Abuja, have adjusted PMS prices to between N930 and N940 per litre, down from the previous range of N945 to N975.
In Lagos State, the price of petrol has been lowered to N890 per litre, reduced from N925. Additionally, Maigandi noted that members in the eastern regions of Nigeria are selling fuel for between N950 and N960.
“Our members have lowered petrol prices as of Wednesday in response to the reduced ex-depot prices from Dangote Refinery.”
According to DAILY POST, filling stations such as Empire Energy and Raniol in Gwarimpa, Abuja, have adjusted their prices to N955 and N945 per litre on Wednesday, down from N975 and N960 earlier in the week.
Meanwhile, prices at MRS Filling Station and Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited outlets in Abuja have not changed as of this report.
It’s worth noting that Dangote Refinery had lowered its ex-depot price for petrol to N840 per litre from N880 on Monday.
