Kevin Costner’s estranged wife, Christine Baumgartner, was seen out and about without her wedding ring just days after filing for divorce from the “Yellowstone” star. On Wednesday, the 49-year-old designer was spotted running errands in Los Angeles. She was dressed casually in a denim jacket, tan sweater, white jeans and accessorized with a beaded bracelet, Dior necklace and oversized sunglasses. Despite ditching the symbolic piece of jewelry, Baumgartner seemed to be in good spirits, flashing photographers a slight smile while meeting up with a friend for lunch.
The former model filed for divorce from Costner, 68, on Monday, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split. She also requested joint custody of their three kids: Cayden, 15, Hayes, 14, and Grace, 12. Costner responded to her filing the following day, also requesting joint custody of their children. A source told Page Six that the Oscar winner was “very surprised” by Baumgartner’s “actions” and still “loves her” and “there was no issue of cheating at all.”
The couple tied the knot in 2004. Costner was previously married to his college sweetheart, Cindy Silva, for 16 years. He also shares son Liam, 27, with ex-girlfriend Bridget Rooney.
Not only is Costner dealing with drama in his personal life, but also in his work life. The “Dances with Wolves” star is said to be leaving “Yellowstone” following the show’s fifth season due to tension with creator Taylor Sheridan. A lot of their disagreements allegedly stemmed from the hectic shooting schedule, which kept Costner away from his wife and kids. However, fans of the Western series will be able to see Matthew McConaughey return to acting after a three-year hiatus in a spinoff of “Yellowstone.”
