Emily Simpson wants more “credit” for her weight loss journey despite using Ozempic and going for liposuction.
The “Real Housewives of Orange County” star also highlights her vigorous fitness routine, which sees her at the gym all week long.
“I cut out a lot of things and I go to the gym seven days a week and work out. I work out like I’m training for a fitness competition. … That’s kind of the whole story,” she told Us Weekly Tuesday.
“The thing that bothers me the most is that when people comment on the way that I look, they constantly say, ‘Ozempic, Ozempic,’” referring to the FDA-approved drug designed to treat type diabetes.
Simpson, 47, first admitted in June that she used Ozempic to “jumpstart” her diet last December after having a “nervous breakdown” about her weight gain.
But she used it for only a month before deciding to stop after experiencing side effects.
“I didn’t like the way it made me feel lethargic and it made me just not have a lot of energy, which was hard with three little kids,” she explained on SiriusXM’s “Jeff Lewis Live,” “but it does make you feel full and it does make you, for me, it was like a refresh.”

She also revealed she went for liposuction on her arms to reveal the “muscle underneath” and opted for a breast reduction, but now she’s upset that fans only focus on her artificial methods.
“I don’t like that it discounts all the hard work I put in,” she told the publication this week.
“I don’t care if you say that all you want, but at least gimme [sic] credit for seven days a week, getting up at 6 a.m. every morning and busting my butt in the gym every single day.”
The Bravolebrity first sparked rumors that she was on the weight-loss drug after she debuted a dramatic new figure on social media, but she clapped back at the fan speculation instead of owning up to it.
“You don’t know me and nothing will ‘revert back’ bc my arms are jacked from heavy lifting 7 days a week,’” she snapped.
