Kate Middleton’s brother James is going to be a dad!
The entrepreneur announced that he’s expecting his first child with wife Alizee Thevenet in a sweet post on social media.
Taking to Instagram Wednesday, Prince William’s brother-in-law posted two images of his wife showing off her growing baby bump while sharing a sweet moment with one of their many dogs.
“We couldn’t be more excited… well Mable might be ❤️,” James wrote alongside the images.
“It was a very difficult start to the year after losing my beloved Ella, however, we will end the year with the most precious little addition to our growing family. ❤️”
James, 36, announced the sad news that his therapy dog of 15 years, Ella, died in January.
Taking to Instagram at the time, he paid tribute to his beloved pooch.
“It is with great sadness that I announce my dear Ella has passed away. For 15 years Ella has been at my side, from my darkest days to my happiest. I’m going to miss her terribly,” he wrote.
James previously revealed that his late pet actually introduced him to his wife back in 2018.
James’s wife first met Ella at the South Kensington Club in Chelsea, London, when she walked over to the pooch to say hello.
“Rather embarrassed, I went over to apologize and bring Ella back,” James recalled the funny moment three years later in an interview with The Telegraph.
“Little did I know, but I had just met my future wife, all thanks to Ella. If I hadn’t trusted Ella, I wouldn’t have brought her to the South Kensington Club and she would not have been able to say hi to the woman who became my fiancée.”
The pair got engaged the following year, and finally tied the knot in 2021.

Their wedding was postponed during the pandemic, but the couple eventually managed to get a day of celebration in the South of France with their family and close pals.
The parents-to-be also gave fans another glimpse at Thevenet’s blossoming bump on their Ella & Co Instagram account.
“We have a new member of the pack coming soon,” they wrote.
