BUZZ: Kim Zolciak sued for unpaid Target credit card bill as financial woes mount

Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann are seemingly drowning in debt amid their ongoing divorce.

Target National Bank claims in a complaint filed Wednesday and obtained by Page Six that the former “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star “failed, neglected and refused” to make payments on a principal amount of $2,482.24 in credit card fees.

Zolciak, 45, first opened the card on Dec. 10, 2007, and the last time she made a payment was on Sept. 17, 2022 for $500, per the documents.

TD Bank has since taken over the account and is the entity in charge of collecting the debt.

Zolciak has not yet filed a response so it is unclear whether she plans to settle the dispute anytime soon.

Her reps declined Page Six’s request for comment.

Zolciak may be preoccupied with more substantial debts at the moment, as she and Biermann, 37, reportedly owe the IRS more than $1 million in taxes.

Legal documents obtained by TMZ in May showed that the estranged couple owe $1.1 million for unpaid taxes, interest and penalties from 2013, 2017 and 2018.

Zolciak and Biermann’s Georgia mansion also went into foreclosure in February after they allegedly defaulted on a $1.65 million loan they took out for the property in 2016.

However, that debt was ultimately settled and an auction for the lavish home was canceled, as a result.

Aside from their shared financial issues, Zolciak and Biermann have their own individual money problems.

Earlier this month, BMW Financial Services sued the former Atlanta Falcons player for defaulting on his car payments for a Rolls-Royce Cullinan worth about $400,100.

Biermann’s attorney placed the blame on Zolciak at the time for her client’s mounting debt.

Lawyer Marlys Bergstrom previously told TMZ that the “Don’t Be Tardy” alum is “detached from reality,” alleging that she “continues to spend money on online gambling, wine and things that are not necessities but luxuries.”

That was not the first time that Zolciak’s alleged gambling issues have been called out.

Biermann himself previously accused his estranged wife of having a gambling addiction that “devastated” their family.

He requested in court documents that Zolciak undergo a psychiatric evaluation for her alleged “compulsions” due to her “spending substantial time and marital funds on gambling and other games of chance.”

The reality TV star’s gambling problem allegedly became so severe that she couldn’t properly take care of their four minor children: Kroy, 12, Kash, 11, and 9-year-old twins Kaia and Kane.

In fact, Zolciak’s eldest child, daughter Brielle Biermann, once claimed her mom secretly drove her two hours to a North Carolina casino and made the then 20-year-old wait in the car while she gambled until 3 in the morning.

The former NFL star claimed her alleged “compulsions” impacted her parenting abilities — all of which she vehemently denied.

The drama comes over a month after both Zolciak and Biermann raced to the courthouse to file for divorce after 11 years of marriage.

Since then, they have been locked in a bitter custody cattle, with Biermann suggesting their kids needed to be protected from his soon-to-be ex-wife due to her allegedly “abusive” behavior.

However, Zolciak called the allegations nothing but “harmful … lies.”
