BUZZ: Meghan Markle defies ‘no dog’ rule at farmer’s market in Montecito

Meghan Markle paid a visit to the Montecito Farmer’s Market with one of her beloved beagles, despite the outdoor marketplace’s “no dogs allowed” policy.

The Duchess of Sussex, 41, was seen picking up flowers at the outdoor shop Friday, marking her first public appearance since her and Prince Harry’s Netflix docuseries was snubbed at the Emmys.

Markle kept it casual in an unbuttoned white blouse, which she wore over a beige maxi dress.

She kept her brunette tresses slicked back into a low bun and paired the look with gold jewelry, black flip-flops, dark sunglasses and a large straw tote bag.

Markle was joined by a bodyguard, who watched her pup while she sampled honey and looked around the market.

Signs at the event read “no dogs allowed,” however it is not clear whether the former royal’s beagle entered the market itself or remained on the outskirts.

She and Harry, 38, own three dogs: beagles Guy and Mamma Mia, and Labrador Retriever Pula.

Markle’s outing comes just days after the couple’s Netflix documentary series, “Harry & Meghan,” failed to score any Emmy nominations, despite being watched for more than 81.6 million hours, according to the streamer.

Royal expert Ingrid Seward claims that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are “devastated” by the snub.

“But of course [the couple] will not show it,” the editor-in-chief of Majesty magazine told the Mirror last week.

“In the series, Harry and Meghan talk about the royal family as if they were the enemy, while they themselves are trying to save the world,” Seward said.

She added: “The series is an intimate look at ‘hardships’ they faced in their honey-colored, rose-tinted world. Meghan and Harry will concentrate in this and make it a positive, however irritated they might be not to be in the Emmy nominations.”

The couple’s multi-million dollar media empire once included a $20 million Spotify contract, however the tech giant recently cut ties with the pair.

Markle’s “Archetypes” podcast was also not renewed for Season 2.

Spotify and Archewell Audio said in a statement that they “mutually agreed to part ways and are proud of the series we made together.”

Despite the significant financial loss, the pair still have a $100 million agreement with Netflix, which they inked in 2021.
