BUZZ: Pete Davidson to Host 'Saturday Night Live' on May 6

Pete Davidson is returning to “Saturday Night Live” with a major bang. According to a source close to Davidson, he is “very excited” to go back and the change of pace has been “in a good way”. He will be hosting the show for the first time on May 6, and will be promoting his upcoming Peacock comedy series “Bupkis” which is executive produced by his former “SNL” boss Lorne Michaels.

Davidson wrote, produced and stars in the series, which is a fictionalized version of his life growing up on Staten Island. He even managed to pull Joe Pesci out of retirement to play his grandfather and Edie Falco is playing his mother. The show will also feature a slew of guest stars including Charlie Day, Al Gore, Bobby Cannavale, John Mulaney, La La Anthony and Davidson’s bestie Machine Gun Kelly.

The comedian has also taken some time to focus on romance. He was spotted hanging out with Martha Stewart last weekend with his girlfriend Chase Sui Wonders, where we’re told he was “visiting a friend and looking at houses” in Stewart’s Bedford, NY, town. Stewart even sent him on his way with a little good luck charm – fresh eggs!

He began appearing on the legendary late-night comedy NBC show in 2014. A rep for Davidson and “SNL” did not comment.
