BUZZ: Prince Andrew's Ex Sarah Ferguson Not Invited to King Charles' Coronation

The Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson, was reportedly not cordially invited to King Charles III’s coronation on May 6th. A source told Us Weekly that the monarch “did not invite Fergie” to the ceremony at Westminster Abbey in London. This snub likely did not come as a surprise to Ferguson, as she had already expressed her suspicions that she would not be welcome on Charles’ big day with his wife, Queen Camilla.

Ferguson had assumed she wouldn’t be invited because she is no longer with Prince Andrew, whom she was married to from 1986 to 1996. Despite this, there seems to be no bad blood between the two, as Ferguson said she plans on having her own celebration for Charles on his coronation day.

Prince Andrew will be attending the coronation to support his brother, despite his scandalous ties to convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. Charles and Queen Camilla will be coronated on May 6th, and it is unclear whether the embattled duke will have a formal role in the celebration.

This isn’t the first time Ferguson has been snubbed by the royal family, as she was not invited to Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding in 2011. She did, however, snag an invitation to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding in 2018. Harry and Markle were both invited to Charles’ coronation amid tensions; however, Buckingham Palace confirmed Wednesday that only the Duke of Sussex will be attending. The Duchess of Sussex is skipping the event to stay home in California with her and Harry’s kids.
