BUZZ: Prince Louis Dons George's Hand-Me-Down Outfit in Queen Elizabeth Photo Tribute

Today marks what would have been Queen Elizabeth II’s 97th birthday, and to commemorate the occasion, Prince William and Kate Middleton shared a photo on social media of the late monarch surrounded by some of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Among them was 4-year-old Prince Louis, wearing a blue-and-white striped mandarin-collar shirt from royal favorite Amaia Kids. This same shirt had previously been worn by Louis’ older brother, Prince George, in a birthday portrait at the same age.

Prince Louis was joined in the photo by Prince George, 9, and Princess Charlotte, 7, along with many of their royal cousins. Missing from the photo were Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s children, Prince Archie, 3, and Princess Lilibet, 1, who had declined to visit Balmoral last year.

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen some royal hand-me-downs in action. Louis wore a blue polo-style sweater that previously belonged to George to meet Sir David Attenborough in 2020, and he popped up at Trooping the Colour in 2022 sporting the same sailor suit once seen on his father at the same event in 1985.

A palace insider told Page Six that the Waleses might not bring along little Louis on May 6 for the coronation of King Charles III due to his viral antics at the Platinum Jubilee last summer. “He’s only 4, after all,” the source added.

This is one shirt that’s stood the test of time. We’re keeping our fingers crossed for another sweet Louis style moment.
