BUZZ: Robert De Niro looks somber ahead of grandson Leandro’s funeral, family ‘not doing well’

Robert De Niro laid his late grandson, Leandro De Niro Rodriguez, to rest in New York City nearly a week after the 19-year-old’s tragic death.

In photos exclusively obtained by Page Six, the “Goodfellas” star, 79, and his relatives were seen departing Frank E. Campbell Funeral Home in Manhattan Saturday to make their way for a cemetery service.

De Niro, who was wearing a black suit and tie, looked downcast as he watched the pallbearers take out his grandson’s coffin and place it into a hearse.

According to The Post, the legendary actor arrived in a black SUV. He was escorted inside the funeral home by security, while Leandro’s parents, Drena De Niro and graffiti artist Carlos Rodriguez, followed.

After a brief service, the security placed cones at the entrance before six pallbearers, who were wearing black suits and white gloves, carried the wooden casket out of the venue.

Robert was seen wrapping his arm around his mourning daughter. The “Irishman” star then joined Leandro’s parents in an SUV before driving off.

A source told The Post that the family will be holding a graveside ceremony for Leandro at a cemetery in Valhalla, N.Y., where Robert’s father is also buried.

A mourner was overheard asking another at one point, “How are you doing?” before quickly backtracking to add, “Actually, I don’t know why I keep asking everyone that — no one is doing well.”

Drena announced her teen son’s death last Sunday in an emotional Instagram tribute to her “beautiful sweet angel.”

“I have loved you beyond words or description from the moment I felt you in my belly,” the filmmaker, 51, captioned a throwback photo at the time. “You have been my joy my heart and all that was ever pure and real in my life.”

The following day, Robert’s rep released a statement to Page Six on behalf of the Academy Award winner, who was “deeply distressed” by his grandson’s untimely death.

“We’re greatly appreciative of the condolences from everyone,” the “Godfather” star said. “We ask that we please be given privacy to grieve our loss of Leo.”

While Leandro’s official cause of death is still being investigated, his mother alleged that he died after taking pills that were laced with fentanyl, a “potent synthetic opioid drug approved by the Food and Drug Administration for use of pain relief and anesthetic,” according to the Drug Enforcement Administration.

“Someone sold him fentanyl laced pills that they knew were laced yet still sold them to him,” Drena claimed on Instagram Wednesday in response to a commenter asking how Leandro passed away.

“For all these people still f–king around selling and buying this s–t, my son is gone forever,” she added.

On Friday, Leandro’s family held his wake with several of Robert’s Hollywood peers, including Christopher Walken, Michael Imperioli and Harvey Keitel present.
