Sofía Vergara visited estranged husband Joe Manganiello while he was working on his upcoming movie, just weeks before they called it quits on their seven-year marriage.
Last month, the estranged couple was photographed walking the streets of Hoboken, N.J., where Manganiello was working on the comedy film “Nonnas,” which stars Vince Vaughn.
In a photo of the outing, which was submitted to celebrity gossip site Deuxmoi, the casually dressed twosome stood a few feet apart as they strolled past an açaí café. According to the anonymous tipster, they were “leaving brunch.”
The “Modern Family” star, 51, paired a dark gray T-shirt with white capri pants and white tennis shoes. She had sunglasses on, a black cardigan wrapped around her waist and a yellow crossbody bag slung over her shoulder.
The 46-year-old “Magic Mike” star, for his part, opted for a white T-shirt, dark gray cargo shorts and white sneakers. He also sported sunglasses for the duo’s last public sighting together.
Page Six broke the news Monday that the longtime lovebirds had separated and were pulling the plug on their union.
“We have made the difficult decision to divorce,” they told us in a statement.
“As two people that love and care for one another very much, we politely ask for respect of our privacy at this time as we navigate this new phase of our lives.”
A source added that the pair had “been growing apart for a while now” and were “taking some distance from each other to contemplate their future.”
Vergara is currently celebrating her birthday in Capri, Italy, with a posse of friends. Both Manganiello and her wedding ring have been absent from the festivities.
“At the start of Sofía’s big birthday trip, those close to her were explaining away Joe’s absence with the excuse that he was busy filming back on the East Coast,” another insider told us.
“That excuse barely held up due to the writers’ strike, but once the actors’ strike took effect, he could have been on the first flight, and he quite clearly is not,” the insider went on.
“So now no one out there with her is even attempting to pretend that it’s not over. It’s over. It’s done.”

Over the years, Vergara and Manganiello have remained consistent with posting sappy social media shout-outs for each other in honor of birthdays and anniversaries.
But when the actress turned 51 last week, the actor kept things simple with a blurry throwback picture of the pair and the concise caption, “¡¡¡Feliz Cumpleaños Sofía!!!”
Fans were instantly suspicious of the “dry” tribute, with one suggesting, “Something is off. Cold message for her and has two stories about his dog’s birthday. And Sofía has not even said thank you.”
Meanwhile, the Colombian bombshell has been posting up a storm while on her European getaway.
“When life gives u lemons u come to Italy to squeeze them😚❤️☀️🇮🇹 @villacimbrone #paradise,” she captioned one of her uploads, which led one commenter to theorize, “Yep marriage is over.”
The two first met in May 2014 when Vergara was engaged to Nick Loeb, but she called it off and began dating Manganiello within three months.
That December, the “True Blood” star proposed to the Emmy winner while vacationing in Hawaii.
They went on to tie the knot in Palm Beach, Fla., in November 2015.
