When Taylor Swift said “Back To December” — she meant it.
The popstar shocked the crowd at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City Friday night when she brought out her ex-boyfriend Taylor Lautner onstage as part of her sold-out “The Eras Tour.”
Joining the “Twilight” actor, who inspired her song “Back To December,” was actress Joey King and Presley Cash, who joined forces with the singer for her new music video for the song “I Can See You.”
The clip, which stars all three actors, was released Friday and fans at the gig were the first to witness its premiere after Swift released her album “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)” earlier that day.
Lautner, who dated the singer in 2009, surprised a sea of screaming fans with a cartwheel and backflip as he made his way down the stage’s ramp.
“He was a very positive force in my life when I was making the ‘Speak Now’ album, and I want to say he did every single stunt that you saw in that music video,” Swift said of Lautner. “He and his wife have become some of my closest friends, and it’s very convenient because we all share the same first name.”
Reciprocating the warm words, Lautner told Swift, “I respect you so much. Not just for the singer you are, the songwriter, the performer — but truly for the human you are. You are gracious, humble, kind and I’m honored to know you.”
For those that weren’t lucky enough to be there to see the reunion live, Swift rushed to social media after the show to share the exciting news.
“WELL. SO,” she wrote alongside a series of images. “I’ve been counting down for months and finally the ‘I Can See You’ video is out. I wrote this video treatment over a year ago and really wanted to play out symbolically how it’s felt for me to have the fans helping me reclaim my music.”
“I had my heart set on Joey King, Taylor Lautner and Presley Cash starring in it,” she continued. “Joey and Presley had been in the video for ‘Mean’ when they were 9 and 13 and they are back and so ridiculously bad ass!! Taytay (Lautner) is INCREDIBLE in this (didn’t have a stunt double!) and shout out to Tay Lautner (his wife) for being so awesome to hang with on set. The Tale of 3 Taylors…”

“I always wanted to direct fight scenes/a heist storyline,” she went on, adding, “and had the most incredible time plotting this out with my amazing DP Jonathan Sela. So proud of this one.”
After the gig, Lautner took to Instagram to share a snap of himself, his wife, and Swift all pointing at each other as they recreated the famous Spider-Man meme.
“Secrets out! Tonight was wild,” he captioned the playful snap.
