BUZZ: Why Kim Zolciak called off contentious divorce from Kroy Biermann

The ring did mean a thing after all.

Kim Zolciak was the one to call off her contentious divorce from Kroy Biermann, a source tells Page Six exclusively.

“They’ve been working on things,” the insider shares.

“They’ve been talking more lately and getting along, so she decided to call it off.”

Zolciak, 45, filed to put a halt to the legal dissolution of her and 38-year-old Biermann’s marriage Friday, according to court obtained by Page Six.

The “Real Housewives of Atlanta” alum requested that the case be dismissed “without prejudice.”

Biermann has yet to file his own dismissal, but sources said he intends to do so imminently.

In May, Zolciak and Biermann filed for divorce 11 years after tying the knot in a luxe wedding ceremony filmed for a Bravo reality show that ultimately evolved into their eight-season spinoff, “Don’t Be Tardy.”

The shocking split came after a succession of financial woes played out in the public eye.

The divorce proceedings became increasingly volatile, with Zolciak and Biermann leveling unsettling allegations against each other, including drug, physical and mental abuse, plus kidnapping and a gambling addiction.

Despite the drama, Zolciak and Biermann put on a united front Sunday, attending church together with their four biological children: KJ, 11, Kash, 10, and twins Kaia and Kane, 9.

Biermann also adopted Zolciak’s two older daughters from a previous relationship: Brielle, 26, and Ariana, 21.

A second source tells Page Six that the couple’s loved ones had been encouraging them to stick it out — not just for their family but for themselves.

“Kim and Kroy’s inner circle has been encouraging them to work through their issues,” the insider says of the pair.

“Their friends are optimistic that they’ll be able to really make it work, not just for their kids but because there is still a genuine love between them.”

Shereé Whitfield, Zolciak’s longtime pal and former “RHOA” co-star, said last month on Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” podcast that she had hope the “Tardy for the Party” singer and the retired NFL player would reconcile.

“Just because you filed — because we … saw the love they had for each other — that doesn’t mean that it’s over,” she told us.

“I don’t know if they’ve had counseling. I don’t know how far they’ve gone. I just don’t want to see it over for them two.”
