George Clooney has sold his stunning Los Angeles residence for $14.5 million after nearly 30 years of ownership. Situated in the prestigious Fryman Canyon area of Studio City, this property started as Clooney’s bachelor retreat and later became a family getaway with his wife, Amal. He originally purchased the home in 1995 for $2.2 million from Stevie Nicks, the Fleetwood Mac star.
The estate features around 7,000 square feet of living space, along with a main house and multiple guest houses across a generous 3.1-acre lot. It includes luxurious amenities such as a swimming pool, tennis court, and beautifully landscaped grounds that offer plenty of privacy, thanks to the surrounding trees.
From a social hotspot to a serene retreat
In his bachelor days, Clooney hosted numerous high-profile parties at this home, making it a popular spot in Hollywood. However, after marrying Amal in 2014, the home evolved into a tranquil space for family life. Amal described the estate as their “private oasis” in a 2018 Vogue interview, highlighting its role as a sanctuary.
The Clooneys have a diverse portfolio of properties, including residences in Italy, France, and New York, so the sale of this mansion does not limit their options. The new owner is set to inherit a notable piece of Hollywood legacy along with the prime location.
Kurt Rappaport from Westside Estate Agency represented Clooney in the deal and verified the sale, but he did not provide additional details. As Clooney and Amal transition to their other residences, this sale showcases the ongoing allure of celebrity-filled Los Angeles real estate.
