Jay-Z Vigorously Defends Himself Against Abuse Claims, Shares Heartfelt Concern for His Family

Jay-Z strongly denies abuse allegations and expresses pain for his family

Jay-Z has categorically denied the allegations of sexual abuse involving him and his associate Sean “Diddy” Combs. The lawsuit, which comes into play with claims concerning a 13-year-old girl, suggests that both artists allegedly assaulted her in the presence of an unnamed female celebrity witness.

In a statement exclusive to Page Six, the artist behind “Empire State of Mind” described the lawsuit, presented by attorney Tony Buzbee, as a “extortion attempt.”

Jay-Z remarked that Buzbee likely anticipated that the high-profile nature of these allegations would pressure him into settling. However, he clarified that the opposite is true: it motivates him to publicly discredit Buzbee instead. “Absolutely not! I will not pay him ANYTHING!” he asserted.

Jay-Z feels manipulated

Jay-Z pointed out the gravity of the accusations, emphasizing that the complainant, referred to as Jane Doe, should have pursued criminal charges rather than a civil lawsuit.

He questioned, “Shouldn’t anyone guilty of such a crime against a child be imprisoned?” Jay-Z mentioned investigating Buzbee and finding a “consistent pattern” in his legal strategies.

On a personal note, Jay-Z expressed his distress about how these allegations impact his family.

He stated, “My wife and I need to have serious discussions with our children, especially with one at an age where she might hear about these allegations from friends,” referencing his daughter Blue Ivy.

“It’s heartbreaking to have to grapple with such baseless hostility aimed at tearing apart families and the human spirit,” he added.

Jay-Z charges Buzbee with exploitation

The Grammy-winning artist reinforced his support for actual abuse victims while criticizing attorney Buzbee for allegedly exploiting these claims for financial gain.

“Only a network of conspiracy enthusiasts and pseudoscience proponents would take your absurd accusations seriously,” noted Jay-Z, stressing that the lawsuits would be “ridiculous” if the allegations were not so severe.

In the revised lawsuit, Jane Doe asserts that she was brought to a post-VMA party in New York on September 7, 2000, where the alleged assault by both rappers occurred.

Additionally, Combs’ legal team has also pushed back against the allegations, labeling them a “publicity ploy” intended to extract money from celebrities.
