Prince Harry’s Hair Takes Center Stage in Netflix Polo Documentary

Prince Harry's Tragic Hair Steals The Spotlight In Netflix Polo Documentary

What are Prince Harry and Meghan Markle doing currently? After their dramatic decision in January 2020 to step back from royal duties, they became a constant presence in the media through various appearances and partnerships, including a lucrative $100 million deal with Netflix. Their latest project is a five-part documentary series on polo, simply named “Polo.” Unfortunately for Harry, the main topic of conversation surrounding the show is not the content itself but rather his noticeable bald spot.

In a brief cameo during the documentary, it’s hard to miss Harry’s thinning hair, which has become a frequent topic in recent media appearances. The Duke’s baldness, especially at the age of 40 and considering Prince William’s long battle with hair loss, seems inevitable.

Media scrutiny on the Duke of Sussex intensifies

Not only is Harry facing the embarrassment of his bald spot being showcased in ultra high definition, but the recent docuseries has also received unfavorable reviews. Critic Stuart Heritage of The Guardian gave it two stars, describing it as “clattering and niche,” resembling a parody rather than a serious documentary. Similarly, Decider‘s Joel Keller found the series largely dull, appealing only to an elite audience.

The lukewarm reception of this docuseries is not an isolated incident but reflects a pattern of mixed reviews regarding Harry and Meghan’s Netflix projects, including their tell-all series “Harry & Meghan.” The relentless media presence of the couple post-royal exit has led to heightened scrutiny, which has only increased now that Harry’s hair loss is a focal point of discussion. This shared challenge with Prince William could be a potential pathway to mending their strained relationship.
