Significant indications suggest that Taylor Swift is collaborating with Grammy-winning artist Kendrick Lamar on a new track.
This exciting news was shared by DJ Snake, who mentioned that they are working together in the studio for Lamar’s upcoming album.
DJ Snake, whose actual name is William Sami Etienne Grigahcine, revealed this news during a popular French-language interview, emphasizing it as a “World premiere.”
This won’t be their first time collaborating; Lamar featured on a remix of Taylor’s hit ‘Bad Blood’ back in 2015, which sparked a diss track from Drake titled ‘Taylor Made Freestyle’ aimed at Lamar.
Kendrick also recorded a verse for the revamped version of ‘Bad Blood’, which is part of last year’s release 1989 (Taylor’s Version).
With their recent shared work produced by Jack Antonoff, it’s no surprise that they are teaming up again.
Continued Success for Lamar and Swift
Kendrick clinched the Best Rap Album Grammy for the third time last year with his LP Mr Morale and the Big Steppers.
While Swift is set to feature on his sixth studio album, a release date hasn’t been announced yet.
Swift recently expressed her gratitude after receiving six Grammy nominations for The Tortured Poets Department.
Swift received nominations for Album of the Year, Best Pop Vocal Album, Song of the Year, Record of the Year, and Best Music Video for ‘Fortnight’, along with Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for ‘Us’ featuring Gracie Abrams.
During her tour in Toronto last week, Swift expressed her appreciation for her supporters, noting the incredible impact they had with the album over recent months.
“You all did something extraordinary in embracing The Tortured Poets Department,” she remarked.
“It means so much to me because I wrote this emotionally charged album while on the Eras Tour,” she added.
