Taylor Swift has fallen off the Forbes billionaires list for 2024, despite the immense success she enjoyed during her Eras Tour. Meanwhile, the wealth of the world’s richest individuals, such as Jeff Bezos from Amazon, has been prominently displayed.
To make it onto the Forbes 400 list, which ranks the top 400 wealthiest individuals in the U.S., one must have a net worth of at least $3.3 billion. Unfortunately, Swift‘s estimated wealth is significantly below this threshold.
At 34 years old, Swift’s net worth is roughly $1.1 billion, making her far from the top spot of the list, which features major players like Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk.
In the rankings, Frank VanderSloot sits at 399th with his wealth derived from the nutrition sector, while William Wrigley Jr., grandson of the founder of the famous gum company, ranks 388th.
Who is Leading the Rankings?
The title of the richest person globally is still held by Musk, whose fortune stands at $244 billion, even after a $7 billion drop due to issues with managing X.com, formerly known as Twitter.
Musk initially made his fortune via PayPal, which paved his way to establish Tesla and SpaceX. He also acquired Twitter following a legal obligation to proceed with the purchase.
He outstrips Bezos by nearly $50 billion, partially due to Bezos’s financial hit from his recent divorce.
Zuckerberg, the Facebook creator, ranks third, followed by Larry Ellison of Oracle and Warren Buffett of Berkshire Hathaway in the top five.
States with the Most Billionaires
California leads significantly with 82 billionaires, with Zuckerberg as the wealthiest among them. In comparison, New York and Florida each have 57 billionaires, tying for the second position.
Texas, where Musk resides, has 43 billionaires, while a total of 11 states, including Alaska, have no billionaires living there.
