There’s a new woman in Tommy’s life in “Power Book IV: Force” season two. Ahead of the “Power” spin-off’s fall return, POPSUGAR has a first look at a new face joining the Chicago-set series: Carmela Zumbado, who plays Mireya Garcia, aka Tommy’s new competition who’s sure to throw him for a loop.

According to the show’s description, Mireya may soon cause problems for the trigger-happy drug lord as she’s the “younger sister of the most dangerous Mexican drug dealer in the city.” Though the “strong-willed” nursing student “wants nothing to do with the family business or their blood money” since she’s worked hard to put herself through school, getting tangled up with Tommy’s business might complicate that plan.

Viewers will have to wait for “Power Book IV”‘s second season to kick off to get more answers about Mireya, but per the exclusive first-look photos ahead, it looks like she and Tommy will get pretty close with each other. This wouldn’t be the first time the protagonist mixed his business with pleasure, though.

Season two is set to pick up with Tommy on a mission to avenge the death of his former nemesis turned business partner, Lilliana, but he has a new set of problems to tackle, too. Between his and Diamond’s (Isaac Keys) feud with the latter’s brother, Jenard (Kris D. Lofton), and a brewing street war, Tommy’s takeover of Chicago’s drug world might just fly off the rails this season – especially with law enforcement and another sadistic supplier on his tracks. And as he’s torn between his street life and finally reconnecting with his blood family, Tommy must soon decide if his kingpin status is worth the ultimate sacrifice.

Joseph Sikora, who plays Tommy, previously teased to POPSUGAR that season two is “going back to the roots of ‘Power.'” He added, “We’re hitting the streets hard, we’re figuring out where things exist in Chicago in real time. I think that the audience is going to have a fun time discovering places.”

“Power Book IV” season two kicks off on Starz on Sept. 1. Scroll ahead to see more first-look photos of Sikora and Zumbado’s characters.
