Mi Na and her grandmother embarked on a motorbike journey packed with various activities. They explored sea turtle habitats, watched planes fly over beaches, visited Duc Me Cave in the Con Dao National Park, braved rapids, conquered Milestone A3, and toured a prison and museum.
Nguyen Thi Bich Van, a 61-year-old grandmother, shared their travels from the previous year, covering 600 kilometers across five cities and provinces in just eight days. They hiked mountains in Gia Lai and relaxed along the central coast.
Their recent trip was shorter but more challenging, creating lasting memories for both of them.
Van, the adventurous grandmother, described her passion for travel, jogging, and mountain climbing. Over the past eight years, she has explored the country on a motorbike and scaled numerous mountains across different regions.
In the summer, Van mentors her granddaughter, Mi Na, who used to be reserved and uninterested in physical activities. Through jogging, swimming, mountain climbing, and travel, Van aims to help her granddaughter discover new interests, develop life skills, and create unforgettable memories.
Van kickstarted her latest adventure by riding her motorbike from Gia Lai to HCM City, participating in a marathon in Binh Dinh, and conquering Chua Mountain at 1,039 meters. She also climbed Thi Vai and Toc Tien mountains with friends in Ba Ria – Vung Tau.
Upon returning to HCM City before Mi Na’s school year-end celebration, they set off for the Cat Tien National Park to explore the wildlife and natural beauty.
During the four-day trip, they engaged in various activities, including biking and hiking to witness ancient trees and waterfalls, spotting nocturnal animals, and embarking on a challenging trek to Bau Sau, home to diverse fauna and flora.
Afterward, they ventured to Con Dao Island for a week, where they indulged in swimming, marveling at coral reefs, and trekking along beautiful roads, including the challenging route to Duc Me Cave and the beaches of Bang and Dat Tham.
Their itinerary was packed with experiences, from learning about turtles and exploring islands to diving to admire coral reefs and witnessing the dawn.
One of the most unforgettable moments was their journey to conquer the A3 Landmark on Tai Lon Island, leaving a lasting impression on the forest rangers due to its remote location and the rare visitors it attracts.
