Empowering 20 Million Young Vietnamese with Livestream Skills for a Digital Future

20 million young Vietnamese to gain livestream skills for digital growth

On November 5, the Center for Digital Media Research and Training, in collaboration with the Vietnam Youth Startup Support Center and additional partners, introduced an initiative called “Driving Digital Economy Growth – Empowering Social Responsibility.” This program seeks to boost the digital business skills of 20 million young Vietnamese by providing them with vital knowledge in livestreaming and digital marketing.

This initiative is part of a larger plan to stimulate economic development while enhancing social welfare. Participants will receive guidance on effectively creating and managing digital channels across various social media platforms. Notable activities will feature significant “megalive” events and targeted content campaigns to promote digital economic growth and social awareness.

The program also motivates content creators, online sellers, and companies to donate a fraction of their earnings from these mega livestreams to aid community initiatives and charitable organizations.

Aiming to benefit young entrepreneurs, the initiative plans to deliver social media training in schools, allowing students to gain practical experience by creating their own social media channels.

Organized by BigHeart MCN, the program is set to commence in November 2024 via an online learning platform run by the Vietnam Youth Startup Support Center.

Participating schools aim to establish at least one active social media channel, which will help improve communication and marketing skills.

Nguyen Phan Huy Khoi, the Director of the Vietnam Youth Startup Support Center, highlighted that this program will enhance young people’s digital business expertise while encouraging a sustainable digital economy that incorporates social responsibility.

“The digital economy offers significant prospects for Vietnamese youth and the entire community. This initiative holds social significance and provides a valuable opportunity for youth in career development and entrepreneurship,” Khoi stated.
