Malaika Rasindran from Malaysia took the crown as Miss Charm 2024, standing tall at 1.82 meters with measurements of 90-66-92.5 cm. Her stunning smile, healthy complexion, and poise caught the judges’ attention.
Rasindran, who has a background in design and media, was followed by Alana Deutsher-Moore from Australia as the first runner-up. At 22 years old, Deutsher-Moore is a noteworthy model and actress in the entertainment industry.
Taking home the title of second runner-up was Vietnam’s Quynh Nga, who was born in 1995. She has an academic background from Foreign Trade University and is currently pursuing an MBA in the United States. Quynh Nga is also a past runner-up of Miss University Vietnam 2017 and made it to the top 10 at Miss World Vietnam 2019.
The event commenced with Luma Russo, the previous Miss Charm 2022, giving a touching farewell speech during her final appearance. Her emotional words created a reflective ambiance as she passed her crown to the new titleholder.
Before announcing the top three finalists representing Malaysia, Australia, and Vietnam, there was a captivating sand art performance by Hong Minh, showcasing the contestants’ faces on stage.
The finalists participated in a final round of questions that assessed their knowledge and ability to motivate.
Quynh Nga addressed the significance of tourism in cultural preservation, stating, “Tourism plays a crucial role in maintaining culture. It inspires locals to value their traditions and share them with visitors, fostering economic development. This creates a positive cycle that highlights tourism’s importance in safeguarding culture.”
Rasindran tackled a question about promoting cultural preservation, while her fellow finalists discussed topics surrounding art, family, and the impact of beauty.
The grand finale featured 20 contestants, with representation from nations like Vietnam, Malaysia, Colombia, Australia, and Indonesia.
After the swimsuit segment, the top 10 finalists were revealed, followed by the evening gown portion where various additional awards were announced.
Quynh Nga was awarded Best Interview and Best National Costume on her way to becoming the second runner-up.
