On December 21, a large crowd gathered at the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024 to see an exciting performance featuring specially trained military dogs.
At 3:30 PM, a group of 118 service dogs returned to the stage to demonstrate their impressive skills, originally showcased during the opening ceremony.
As the audience cheered, these obedient dogs executed commands flawlessly, showcasing their talents in various activities such as obstacle navigation, suspect apprehension, handler protection, and scent detection.
Under the supervision of Border Guard trainers, the dogs performed rapid movements, jumping through flaming hoops and swiftly maneuvering around obstacles, leaving spectators amazed.
These skilled animals are from the 24th Border Guard Intermediate School and are part of an elite unit trained for specialized operations.
Since March 2024, 145 seasoned trainers and handlers prepared for the event along with 118 dogs selected for their impressive strength, endurance, and consistent physical characteristics.
The canine team primarily consists of purebred German Shepherds and Belgian Malinois, both known for their intelligence and readiness for combat.
After their impressive displays, the dogs interacted with attendees, making the event memorable and enjoyable.

Among the highlights was Jack, a 3-year-old German Shepherd, who excelled in the obstacle course, completing his tasks seamlessly.

In another impressive feat, Jack displayed his skills in suspect apprehension by bravely subduing the “suspect” at his trainer’s command, holding him down until he was told to let go. The crowd responded with enthusiastic applause for this display of training and discipline.
After his performance, Jack’s charming personality shone through as he took photos with fans and enjoyed affection from happy onlookers.
