We have an inter-caste kinda situation and where I come from, people make a big deal out of it. So me and my SP (Special Person) were dating for almost 4 years and having a great time with each other. Then his parents dropped the wedding bomb, and they started looking for matches for him. He tried avoiding the situation as much as he could but eventually, he gave up because he did not want his parents to suffer. He did not tell his parents about me at first because he did not want to disappoint them.
His parents found a match for him and got him engaged in just 3 months. Initially, I was devastated. I did not know what to do or where to turn. I was depressed and had lost my appetite. Oh, the endless crying!!! Anyway, me and my SP were still in love and still in touch. We were still talking to each other every day and I had to live with the fact that he was also talking to someone else and that he was engaged to her. And trust me, it was not that easy!
Finally, I decided to take charge of my life and situation and change my reality! I decided that the circumstances do not matter and they do not exist. I worked on my self-concept. I worked on my belief system. I worked on self-love.
Then one day out of nowhere, my SP called me and told me that his engagement had been called off! The Universe works in magical ways. It all happened within a day and in a way that I could have never imagined, even in my wildest dreams. And, I did not even have to lift a finger!
I continued to work on my beliefs. I knew we were supposed to end up together. My trust got stronger and stronger with each passing day. And now I am now engaged to my SP, and we are to be married soon!
