I am a writer, a wife, and a mother of 2 who is emerging from a mental health crisis. I have spent time and energy learning, healing, and growing in recent months, and I am so proud of being on a path to self-understanding, self-love, and self-care for the first time. The Secret has been so life-changing in that it showed me how to embrace the gifts of the Universe and to let go of all my fears and limiting beliefs. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
My daughter is a senior in high school this year. She applied to various universities for the 2024-25 school year, and because she was looking on the West Coast of the US, she received acceptance letters later than most of her friends. In fact she was not even supposed to hear back from her number 1 pick until April 1st.
After hearing back from a few other schools earlier than expected, I booked a trip to California for March 11th so she could visit those schools before making a decision on college. When I booked the flights, I remembered that a particular weekend at her first choice school was ‘admitted students’ weekend. Without overthinking it, I booked flights for that time frame. I woke up on March 12 with an overwhelming feeling that she would be accepted at her 1st choice school, and I could visualize her being very happy as a student there. So much so that I realized this university is “her place” and will provide the atmosphere she needs to become her true self, find lifelong friends, and gain confidence in her abilities.
During this visualization, I also realized I had been so worried about my daughter and her future that I was having a hard time coming to terms with her leaving home. Once I could picture how happy and content she would be at college, my fears and worries about her transition to a faraway school melted away. I understood that her time at the university would give us both emotional growth and resilience.
That same afternoon, a few weeks before they were supposed to contact her, my daughter received her acceptance letter from her first choice school! We were all so excited for her! Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!
Better yet, I realized that in letting go of my fears and worries about her, I had opened myself up to receiving all that my son and husband have to give in our relationships. In just a few days, I can feel my relationships with each of them deepening, growing stronger roots, and becoming more balanced, which has felt so wonderful.
It has been an unexpected and incredible experience to embrace the greatness that can happen as I visualize the gifts of the Universe and let go of limiting beliefs. Thank you so very much to Rhonda. Thank you so very much to The Secret team as well as The Secret for showing me the way!
