The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has finalized the dates for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) which are December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026.
During a virtual executive meeting held on Friday, CAF made the decision to reschedule the tournament due to the expanded FIFA Club World Cup also taking place during the originally planned summer dates in 2025.
The draw for the AFCON 2025 will be conducted in Johannesburg, South Africa in the upcoming month.
Qualifying matches for the tournament are set to take place between September and October 2024.
Morocco has been selected as the host nation for the AFCON 2025.
