Erigga, a Nigerian rapper and social commentator, has a message for the people of Nigeria.
He advises against holding onto ideas for too long.
In a message posted on his X (previously Twitter) account, Erigga emphasized that delaying the implementation of your ideas often results in those very ideas being realized by others.
He clarified that this occurrence doesn’t imply that the idea was appropriated; rather, it’s simply that the timing for the idea has arrived and it found another champion.
“If you have a concept that excites you, and fail to act on it, it’s possible for that idea to be expressed by another creator,” he expressed.
“This isn’t necessarily due to another individual stealing your concept, but rather because the idea is ripe for execution.”
His remarks have initiated discussions online, with numerous creatives sharing their own accounts of hesitating on an idea only to see someone else bring it to fruition later.
