Caroline Danjuma, a popular Nollywood actress, recently expressed her concerns about the rising cost of food items in the country. Following a visit to the Sunday market in Ogba, Lagos State, she shared her dismay over the exorbitant prices.

She highlighted the skyrocketing prices of essential food items such as a tuber of yam priced at N10,000, a bucket of potatoes at N9,000, a bag of rice at N85,000, and two pieces of Titus fish at N5,000.

Caroline expressed her sadness about the situation and empathized with the challenges faced by Nigerians in affording basic food necessities. She mentioned that she was disheartened by the high prices and even went ahead to shop for her domestic staff in light of the situation.

Considering the prevailing economic conditions, Caroline pondered on the coping mechanisms of people amidst the inflation. She suggested the need for collective support, possibly proposing group therapy sessions to aid in mental and emotional well-being during these tough times.
