Aisha Yesufu, a prominent activist in Nigeria, has criticized the Department of State Services (DSS) following the detention of fellow activist and former presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore.
Recently, it was reported that Sowore, known for his role in the EndBadGovernance protests, was apprehended by DSS agents in Lagos upon his arrival from the United States. He later informed his followers on X that he had been released.
In response to Sowore’s arrest, Aisha took to her official X account, labeling the secret police as both shameless and lacking intelligence.
She remarked, “The DSS/SSS displays both shame and incompetence. They took the bait! Kai!
“It’s no surprise that terrorists exploit them for their own purposes.”
